I totally owe Jacqui for this one. She tipped me off about the new Cynthia Rowley patterns for fall that aren't up on the Simplicity website yet but are now available at JoAnn. I picked these up yesterday during the $1.99 sale.
2512 is a high-waisted skirt, and 2497 is a dress that's very Lucky Magazine-ish.
I also got 3503 - there are so many great versions of this dress out there, I'm kicking myself for not buying this long ago. And 2603 because I've recently developed a cardigan obsession.

Christina - this are great. You know Rowley's from Chicago and she has a store here? Anyhow, I'll get these patterns as soon as I can at the next Hancock's sale. Say, why don't we have a cardigan sew-a-long for fall? I'm up for it, if anyone else is...there are so many great knits out there...plus yards in my stash. Anyone who loves Anthropologie sweater coats but not hte prices can sew something up quick-o for less than half the price.
One last thing, Christina. Thank you for returning our Chicago weather. It's been very Seattle-like lately and I don't like it. So I'm very happy that you've very kindly kicked the heat and the humidity out of the West Coast (it is gone, finally, isn't it?) and forced it, tail between the legs, back to the Midwest, where it rightly belongs. I think summer has finally begun, even if only for a few weeks more.
I really like these...but it is way too hot to even imagine making a cardigan yet. Maybe in a few weeks
OHHHH I love that 2497!
I have just bought the bottom two myself! Have made up the cardi in a strange knit I had in my collection (not sure of content) and am just trying to decide what (if any) kind of edge finish to do. I might wear it without an edge finish and see how I feel about it. Must search for some versions of 3503 too!
The Cynthia Rowley dress is very cute and looks like you! I'm sure you will do something fabulous with the pattern!
I saw those two Cynthia Rowley patterns at Joann's this past week. I love both designs (but didn't pick them up because they weren't on sale). It'll be great to see how yours turn out!
Also, thanks for you comment!
I did not know about the new Cynthia Rowley patterns or the 1.99 sale this weekend! I will keep my eyes open for the next sale and stock up on CR patterns!
Oh boy--more goodies! Cynthia Rowley is becomming very popular. I hope to see some beautiful things from these patterns.
I am definitely going to have to pick up those 1st two. Those are great!!
$1.99 for a pattern. That is so not fair. we pay $12 for Simplicity and occasionally up to $22 for a Vogue. If I get to the USA soon, I'll be stocking up on patterns.
whatev. stop trying to get as many big 4 patterns as me. lmao.
Gail, I am in NZ and ordered mine online from www.sewingpatterns.com, they still work out way cheaper than we can get them!
Thanks for the tip! I've made two Cynthia Rowley patterns so far and have been very happy with both. I'll definitely have to check out these new ones.
I like the 2497 the most. You are so lucky to get these patterns as such a favourable price.
Don't you love that dress? I got the skirt pattern, too. I've been meaning to make 3503 since last summer. LOL I'm hoping to make it while our warm weather lasts.
Wonderful patterns! Thanks for sharing.
Oh wow! Thank you for posting about the patterns - I kid you not, I in need of both of those patterns for some upcoming events (the skirt and the dress). Too perfect!
These are great. I love that Simplicity cardigan pattern (esp the B,E view) - it looks like you make one garment and arrange it anyway you like. Neat!
Those look like great patterns; I made Simplicity 2603 a while back and I'm very happy with the outcome.
Thank you for making my simplicity shopping list for me, LOL.
Thanks for the pattern tip! Those Cynthia Rowley patterns look great!
What type of fabric do you think that model is wearing in 2497 dress? my friend wants me to make this for her and I can't figure out what it is or what would be similar.. it has a nice crinkle texture if you look at it up close.
I'm not sure what kind of fabric that is... you could check the envelope back for suggestions, it does look pretty cool in that crinkled fabric:
