Happy new year everyone!
My brace has been off for a few days now! I learned that my wrist is just sprained and not fractured, thank goodness. My range of motion and strength is a bit limited but I'm slowly starting to use it again; I've really missed my dominant hand. It even felt good enough to finish a sewing project this weekend.
This is a pattern I've made before, and I know Melissa is fond of it too. I had cut the fabric just before my injury, so it didn't take too long to finish. The fabric is an acrylic sweater knit from Denver Fabrics, I was planning to make a dress with it but it turned out to be a little too thin for that.
I'm currently altering my pattern pieces for the Marfy dress - after my muslin I determined that I need a swayback adjustment, and I'm scooping out the neckline a bit more, as drafted the V-neck is just too modest for my taste :)

Very nice top...happy to hear your wrist is on the mend! Mary
Glad your back in business! Love the top--very attractive neckline!
Congratulations on getting your wrist back! I have to look to see if I have this issue. That is one great looking top.
And stitched wedding invites??? Do tell!
Glad your wrist is better! I love the top! It looks great on you!
as cute as always!!! And I'm glad your wrist feels better! My last sewing needle broke yesterday and I am in withdrawal....=(
This is so cute! I love it. I'm glad it was just a sprain and not a fracture, and you can get back to sewing.
Happy New Year, glad your wrist is not broken and you can start sewing again. Your top is great, I've been thinking about this pattern too after I trawled through all my BWOFs recently looking for new long sleeve knit tops. I think I'll definitely giv ethis one a try now!
Glad your wrist is feeling better. Your top is sooooo cute - you know I'm a fan tho. You look fantastic!
I love this on you!!
super cute!!! I have to add this to my short list of BWOF items to make.
Love that fabric too!
Glad to see you are doing better!
Nice top - glad you are able to sew again!
I'd just convinced myself it was okay to get rid of older BWOFs (I'm running out of room to store them) and you make a very cute and current top with a three year old BWOF! I'm changing my mind again!!!
Such a cute top!
Yea, so happy you are back. Great top, too.
I have some sweater knit from Fabric.com. Maybe it's time I gave this pattern another go with a FBA. It looks so cute on you!
OMG, you rock that top! I love it and want it.
I'm so curious to see your stitched wedding invitations! I am gettin' hitched in May, so I'm always looking at things like that :)
Oh I'm so glad you are doing better! I've been wondering how bad your injury was. I just love the drape on that cowl, what a great top!
Looks great! Glad to see you 'back in business'.
Yay! Glad your healed and sewing again. I love that top. Can I ask how wide the pattern piece is for the cowl neck? And I assume it's just folded over and attached to the neckline? I love how floppy it is and am hoping I can modify a basic t-shirt pattern since I don't have BWOF 10 2005.
That is a cute top and I'm glad that you are all healed and able to sew again!
Happy New Year!
Love the top--I've got to find that back issue!
I love the top. You have a great wardrobe and a great sense of style. I always love your hair, too.
I LOVE it! turned out totally cute!
glad your wrist is better and i hope you're enjoying the snow up there!
YAY, I'm glad you're back in the sewing studio! That's a very stylish sweater!
very flattering top on you!
Great top, Christina! Another creation that is very you - and I mean this in a good way, of course.
Happy new Year :D
Hi! Love this top. Do you know if I can get it now at this late date? I couldn't find it on the Burda website you pointed to. Thanks!
