What have I been up to lately? I've been busy packing for my trip, I'm leaving today for Marrakesh (Morocco) then Ibiza and Barcelona (Spain) after that. Perfect timing, too, because Seattle has decided it wants to be 65F and rainy this week.
I've also been sewing. The bad news is that I did not finish the Burdastyle Alison swimsuit... It's close, but I couldn't get the bra cups right. I'll work on that again when I get back, we have a family trip to Hawaii coming up so I have incentive to finish it soon.
The good news is that I cranked out a dress, BWOF 6-2008-120. I lengthened it so it's a maxi dress. I'll post a review later, but in the meantime, if you're interested in making this pattern, let me strongly suggest that you make a muslin of at least the bodice, mine required some fiddling to get a good fit.
I think I'll try my hand at mobile blogging during this trip, so maybe I can post a picture of the dress in some exotic location...

I bet that looks great as a maxi dress! Soooo jealous of your trip. Have a fabulous time and take lots of fabulous pictures.
Christina .- wish you a safe journey. Ahhh. illusion that you visit Barcelona. I am sure that you love this city. I remain at your disposal for what you might need, here is my house. Hugs, Paco
You'll love Marrakesh & Barcelona! In Marrakesh, don't bother with the Piano Bar/Churchill Bar at La Mamounia-horribly 'touristy' and disappointing. But do eat at the J'mah El F'nah (the main square with the ourdoor food stands)-the food is delicious and safe to eat. In Barcelona, I can recommend Boaz bar for cocktails (just off the Ramblas) and Cafe Pep for seafood. and looking at this I suddenly realise why I've always have a weight problem...have a great trip!
