- baby quilt - Got that pieced and machine quilted, all that's left is the binding. I thought I was going to be putting this in the mail, but we just bought tickets to go to my in-laws for Thanksgiving so I'll be able to deliver it in person (and that buys me more time) :)
- finish BWOF 10-2007-117 blouse - Done.
- trace pattern and make muslin for BWOF 10-2007-119 - Pattern tracing is nearly complete, no muslin. The pattern is drafted for petites, and I still need to add a bit of length here and there. I am considering using the collar from Vogue 8438. I really am digging that big pleated collar, and can you believe the pattern piece is just one long rectangle?
- wash swatch of wool coating - Done, in fact I also washed the entire yardage.
- make second pair of Hot Patterns sailor pants - Didn't sew a single stitch of this...

I've started tracing that coat too :)
Good luck with all your projects, I'm looking forward to seeing them done, Christina
True that sometimes sewing feels like a marathon. I wish I was like the Indian goddess, Kali, with multiple arms to manage it all. Well good luck and keep it going!
I think you got a lot accomplished! I like that collar, too.
You got a lot accomplished even if you didn't do everything on your list. How did you wash your wool coating? At the dry cleaner or by hand or?
Stephanie - I washed the wool coating in my washing machine on the hand wash cycle. First I washed a swatch with some denim in a regular cycle; the swatch kind of stiffened up in a way that I liked, the weave was somewhat loose to start with. But when I washed the yardage by itself in a gentle cycle, it came out pretty much just like it went in.
So you had a mini marathon LOL - still very productive.
I'm amazed at how much of the quilt you accomplished!
I really didn't do any sewing this past weekend - I'm in a sorority and I made a t-shirt with our letters on it for my upcoming new little (as in, I attached 3 letters, two fabric layers of each) on a store boght t-shirt and did the zig zag stitch around it. I then started working on a second shirt, and am halfway finished with sewing the letters.
I'm still behind on a fall long sleeved dress that I really want to make!! Ugh!
Also, I commented back on my own blog, but I don't know if you'll see it - the belt is 18 inches, made for a corseted waist. Don't think I will be fitting into that any time soon, even though I am skinny! Just not THAT skinny! hahahaha
I can't wait to see pictures of your works in progress!!
I NEVER finish everything I set out to do in a weekend. It happens to the best of us!
It sounds like you got quite a bit done. Every day I wake up with big plans on all I'm going to get done and without fail I rarely get even a chunk done. You should be proud of what you did accomplish! :-)
Patiently awaiting pictures :-)
That's really not bad for a weekend...you got a lot accomplished!
