Special delivery from Ghana (via Germany)

As a birthday gift, Cidell generously sent me this amazing fabric that she picked up in Ghana. Isn't it gorgeous? I love the lacy looking ovals which are almost Indian or Moroccan in style.

To make the most of this bold print, I think a maxi-dress is called for. You will see this fabric turn into a dress in Spring 2008.

As if the fabric wasn't enough, Cidell included a trio of Kinder Eggs too! Kinder Eggs = major childhood nostalgia for both of us. My first egg had a silly little underwater sea creature to assemble. He's going to live in my office.

That's a great fabric. The idea of turning it into a maxi dress is fantastic.
Are Kinder eggs difficult to come by in the States? Now that could give me a fun giftie idea when I want to treat some friends from across the pond.

Isabelle - Yes, Kinder Eggs are hard to come by, so that is a great gift idea.

I'm suffering serious envy for that fabric. I saw something similar in InStyle and actually clipped it out so I could remind myself to look for something similar whenever I was at the fabric shop.

And the Kinder eggs take me back.

My young daughter always runs to a certain shop that sells Kinder Surprise eggs. She always gets the little toy out and won't eat the chocolate, leaving it for me to eat.
