McCalls early summer roundup

McCalls just released their Early Summer 2007 patterns. Here's my initial impression of my faves (I always seem to change my mind once I see them actually made up).

M5377 is a nice jumper style dress, perfect for layering while the weather is still warming up.

M5381 looks really cute in the photo on the model, but I see serious potential for a wadder here if it doesn't fit *just right* in the bust.

M5388 is a really fun top. I like the ruffly bib trim in View C, and View D with the sleeves is what you are seeing all over the stores right now.

M5398 is a collection of knit workout/loungewear. This is exactly the kind of stuff that I change into as soon as I step in the door at the end of the workday. The shrug kind of reminds me of Norma Kamali for Everlast.

Of course, they always throw in a few "Dear God, no!!" patterns. M5401 wins my prize for most horrendous of the McCalls Early Summer 2007 line.
